Journal #2

The people I frequently interact with are my parents and family, children, mentors, instructors, classmates, and friends.

I think the conversation was detailed and informative. It suggests that the staff was understanding and considerate to the concern of the parent. The communication between staff and parent was very effective, and there was an opportunity for the parent to provide feedback about whether she agreed with the suggestions of the staff. I wouldn't add or take anything away from the conversation.

I visulize my child care center as a stepping stone for young children before attending school. It will be a place where children will learn through experinces, books, as well as play. My center will be affordable with reasonable rates to help low income families, young or single mothers, and foster parents. To identify my center we would utilize the open door policy to ease the anxiety of parents with children in child care. The strengths of my center would be the quality care the children would be receiving as well as the structure and preparement for school. There is always room for improvement in any business and mine would probably be communication between staff and parents or advertisment.

Introduction

My name is Erin Hubbard, and I currently do not work. I am a full time student but, I have worked in child care centers in the past. I am in the child care field because I love helping children learn new things, as well as learning from them. Making a positive impact on the life of a child is a very rewarding feeling.
